Day 8: England Bound!

A full day of travel was required to make it from the Dolomites to an hour south of London... the construction, in preparation for the Winter Olympics, made the traffic slow as mushy snow. 4 hours to get to Venice's Marco Polo Airport. A little lounge action and an Uber like ride to Stockbridge... the smallest town in England and the fly fishing capital of the world. We will explore, on foot, the surrounding area tomorrow,  but for tonight, a quaint room, a lovely staff,  a yummy dinner, a joyful pub and even some telephone booths from decades gone by.

Marco.... Polo....
British airways lounge.. pretty crowded and underwhelming.
Our quaint new home for 3 nights.
Room sounds cool anyway: )
You know Peggy comes across as a red wine aficionado, but her Polish blood and love for local draft beers is hiding just under the surface!
My eggplant parm was off the hook. (No fishing pun intended... though that's a pretty good one)
Peggy's local trout with tagliatelle was delicious as well.
The River Test is quaint but highly sought after as it opens up and downstream into a fishing mecca.
A local pub,  with Malcolm, the local "expert" recommending scotch whiskies from his home town Oban?
This town really is a fly fisherman's paradise.
Not sure about these, might get the scoop tomorrow.
Our hotel,  the Grosvenor, is 200 years old. Should be fun! Ciao for now!

But before hitting the hay, we were so blessed to watch Sunday's sermon on Philippians 1:1-2 by Pastor Max.  The technology to make watching this in England, by casting it to our hotel room tv is truly amazing... yet the most amazing part was God's truth and the power of the Gospel communicated across 8 time zones so effectively it broke into my soul and produced great joy! Grace and peace.... forever! Thank you Max,  thank You Jesus!
