Day 18: Real Reindeer!
The sun did not set last night and so my first picture is the natural evening light at 2:15am. In Honningsvag, the 2300 residents are overwhelmed when a 2800 passenger cruise ship docks alongside an 800 passenger one. Very much a commercial fishing town, going after king crab and salmon, this place is quiet and nestled under stone mountains that we hiked up for the view.
2:15am! We had the window open all night as well, so sight, sound and cool temps...The town and cruise ship is just over our heads, below the hills at water level (duh). This was a nice 9500 step walk, uphill.
Evidence of what was around somewhere.
The real deal...2 reindeer...
The rock Peggy picked up for the boys.
A nice Nordic heart shaped lake.
Ours is bigger than theirs! Very colorful town.
Looks like a little puppy.
Functioning fishing village.
The welcoming Troll!
Tough to see but another lovely rainbow.
The sun took a long time to set.
Twenty minutes later it's still working it's way below the horizon.

The welcoming Troll!
The evening offered more beautiful vistas, rainbows and sunsets. Truly stunning scenery that photos won't capture.
Heading out of town...Tough to see but another lovely rainbow.
