Day 16: Trondheim in 14,500 steps!

Trondheim is the 4th largest city in all of Norway, with 197,000 inhabitants. Oslo has 1.1 million, Bergen with 270k, Stavanger with 235k and then Trondheim. We saw most of it on foot this morning with 14,500 steps. The northernmost McDonald's is in town, umbrella covered streets an old walking bridge, a lovely cathedral, a WW2 hilltop defense system and even a 1 Michelin star restaurant.

The layout with our cruise ship in the middle on top of the city.
The team getting ready.
1 Star... closed for lunch:(
Like Trafalgar square only a Norwegian guy.
The northernmost McDonald's!

Nidaros cathedral

Beautiful front. I should have taken a photo of the nice Belgian couples' shot of the inside, but didn't... so just the outside for you all.
Very old walking bridge
Cool colored house lined river ...
If you know French it's a little oxymoron.
Cannon defense with serious fire power.

Great river criss crossed by walking bridges.
Beautiful idea. Different, colorful and not expensive.

a perfect Elva bench!

We then relaxed until dinner, when we ate at the upscale Eden...a smoked cocktail and some delicious food.  Our waitress was great, yet as good as the food looks, it did not taste as good as in previous years.  Not to worry, no scathing letters from me.

Entering Eden!
Their famous crab cakes!
A reuben raclette appetizer... not too shabby!
Our table and view!
Filet and wellington combo!
Peggy's lobster casserole...

A lovely late night sunset as well..
